New improved chrome plating process at MFF

MFF was the first galvanic surface finishing company in Denmark to gain registration of compliance with the demanding EMAS Regulation.

We take now the lead for a cleaner environment again!

Our mission is to stay ahead of future environmental requirements and we are working continuously to improve the working environment for our skilled employees, why we are among the first in Denmark to invest in a trivalent chrome plating process (Cr³⁺).

This gives several advantages instead of hexavalent chromium (Cr⁶⁺) which are environmentally dangerous and carcinogenic, so the use of hexavalent chromium have already been banned in several different industries.

Advantages of trivalent chrome at MFF are:
• Significant improvement for the environment.
• Improvement of the internal working environment.
• Minimal risk for lack of coverage of nickel with chromium, which previously has appeared with exposed nickel / yellowish areas.
• We still meet the requirements of the standard for layer thicknesses.
• No visual color differences compared to the previously produced parts at MFF.
• The process is best available technique (BAT) in the field. 

Our chrome plating will be closed for rebuilding from Friday the 15^th Juli 2011to Monday the 15^th August 2011 (both days excl.)
 
You may also expect a longer delivery time up to and after the rebuild.
